[Personality]Phoenix was once a man who attempted to please everyone else on a daily basis. He made an extra effort at keeping his very sarcastic and cynical mouth shut, instead fixating on what he thought he needed to be to get ahead. He's been known to change his personality and grow throughout the series, for instance: When he was in college, he dumbed himself down in the hopes to get a girlfriend, and he a wore pink sweater whilst exclaiming in a court of law that his girlfriend 'doesn't poop'. A few years later, he reappeared and had apparently grown up enough to realize the error of his fashionable ways (granted, the pink sweater was a gift) and to appreciate the fine art of acting polite when really being cynical and sarcastic

Phoenix holds his friendships in high regard; when he trusts someone, he trusts them with his life (unless they do something untrustworthy!). Kristoph left Phoenix with a heightened sense of paranoia, and it's something that will take a long time to for him to get over. He was forced to push everyone who was close to him away to hold onto what he knew was important at the moment just to prove himself innocent. He didn't want the people he cared about to be caught in the crossfire, and although he missed everyone deeply, he had to hold off on contact and act distant. Throughout this period in his life, his love for Trucy and her love for him kept him sane. She quickly became a very important part of his life; if he ever found everything closing on him and had trouble coping with his double life, he would think of her and everything would quickly seem manageable again.

[Background]

When the group entered Amane's mind, they found a being known as Jezebel. She was a Bel demon, but not as powerful as the others. Still, they had to be careful to heal Amane, because hurting Jezebel hurt her, too.

After beating the shit out of the giant flower-looking demon, the group moved on to climb the tower in Roppongi Hills. Enter another boss. Belzeboul.

After taunting the giant fly and surviving several rounds of flies being spawned from inside of them, the group managed to take down Belzeboul

[Abilities]

In terms of abilities, there's a bit that's changed.

If Kiyoshi gives a direct command to a demon from his world, it must be obeyed. Obviously that falls under godmodding, so he won't be able to access it. (The only demon from his world here is Loki, anyway, and Naoya would smack him if Kiyoshi tried to control Loki without his permission.)

He also doesn't need a COMP to cast spells anymore, though for gameplay purposes I'm going to say that he still can't have more skills equipped than he used to.

By gaining the powers of the other Bels, Kiyoshi presumably could draw on their special abilities (Beldr could suck energy, Belial had fire that hurt a hell of a lot, Jezebel's ability to make illusions, Belzaboul's ability to spawn flies, and Belberith's strength), but since those powers are both really creepy and kind of gamebreaking, he won't be able to use them in Somarium

Do you think you could give us further details on how he'll be toned down? Also, you are correct in assuming that MC would have no control over non-canon demons. Same with the Bel powers.

Essentially he's going to have beefed up stats and be able to use spells without his COMP. Not... incredibly beefed up stats, but basically the equivalent of putting several more points at least in each stat, if we're talking game terms. It would most likely be more, but due to Somarium's limiting effects, it won't be.

[Background]Echo doesn’t appear for some time after saving Sharon. When she does appear, it’s on St. Bridget Day. Vincent’s given her a day off since he’s meeting with Gilbert, so she decides to go people-watching. This goes by uninterrupted until Oz comes along. Seeing as how it’s a holiday and all, he insists that she spend the day with him. For the most part, it goes well, and the two bond. D’awwwwwwww

One thing led to another and Ace suddenly confessed that he loved her. Alice refused to believe that was true since he used her as a shield (And also there was an assumption that he might like her but not love her). Ace did admit that he liked her heartbeat - something that didn’t exist in Wonderland as Alice came to understand. Everyone in Wonderland had a clock for a heart. Before felling asleep, Alice realized that what Julius did with the clocks - what those clocks were. Next day, she returned to the Clock Tower and confronted Julius about the issue - and cool-headedly he told her the inner workings of Wonderland: clock hearts, the value of life, and after images of the Wonderland. Julius then asked if she

In front of Blood’s Mansion, Dee and Dum insisted that she came over to their room since she visited Boris and neglecting them was unfair. She had no choice since they were kids spluttered with blood of their enemies and giant axes in their hands. The two happily showed her their weapon collection which Alice fruitlessly hoped will be something cute the moment before. She said that, while she didn’t like their weapons, she did like Dee and Dum and they hugged her tightly, enthralled. And then they tried to cut her up. Luckily Elliot and Blood interrupt their little play before it drew any blood and Alice was escorted to Blood’s room (with some protests from the twins). Unfortunately, the little discussion Blood and Alice were having turned violent when Blood realized that Alice saw him and Vivaldi together and TRIED TO KILL HER. HOLY SHIT. But when she blurted out that the mafia boss and Queen of Hearts must be lovers, he withdrew his hands. The situation worsened when their talk went something like this:

When Alice returned to the Clock Tower (in somewhat embarrassing state) once again, she noticed odd spots on Julius’s room. Like a bullet hole on the wall for example. When Alice insisted that she help him out with his work, the Mortician dropped the bomb on her - “Why not leave here and live at the amusement park?” He informed her that Blood Dupre had dropped by to take her to his mansion and continued to persuade her into leaving the Clock Tower. In which Alice broke down and confessed that she didn’t want to leave the Clock Tower and that she felt comfortable leaving there with Julius. Meanwhile, Julius, panicked by her tears, embraced her, asking her to stop crying. When the tears did stop, he told her she didn’t have to leave along with “I wouldn’t live with someone I find annoying. Remember that.” Yay! An issue is resolved
