Piper was in the kitchen, baking pies. She didn't even care about the holidays, including Thanksgiving. At least not anymore. It did give her an excuse to bake pies, though. Lots of pies.

Piper nodded. "Yes, you do. I felt like baking."

Dean attempted to reach in and swipe a finger full of dough or fruit compote or something that would bring about yumminess from a finger-swipe. Completely unmindful to the fact that this would probably result in him getting whacked with a spoon.

"Hey," Piper said, totally hitting him with a spoon. "You have to wait until it's done!"

There was a shave-and-a-haircut knock at the back door.

"You must have some kind of power that lets you know when I am baking," Piper said when she opened the door.

"It's a gift," House said. "How's my favorite budding restaraunteur?"

"I'm probably the only one you know," Piper said with a grin. "I'm okay. Been busy with the whole restaurant thing, but I'm taking a break today."

Lana came in the house looking a little bemused. "This guy at the Leaf wanted to marry me to a chair."

"...did you let him?" House asked.

"No," Lana said, looking shocked. "Of course not."

"Good to know you don't have an unhealthy attraction to furniture, then," House said.

Sam wandered into the kitchen in search of a drink, still acting like he lived here.

"I'm still as good at baking as you are, if not better," he couldn't resist calling over his shoulder at Piper.

"I feel like we just had this argument," Piper said, staring at him.

"It's a classic," Sam replied dryly. "Just like it was today yesterday."

"If you're any good at all, it's because of my baking workshop you took years ago," Piper replied.

For the record, Jack totally was not there to help bake pies. Now, if there was any pie eating going on?

"Is that cherry I smell?" He asked as he sort of hung on the doorframe, making a very weak attempt not to invite himself right on into the house.

"Yeah, but watch your hands, she's vicious with the spoon. . . ."

"Would it help if I'm up front with my intentions to taste the pies, rather than attempt to sneak off with a pie?"
