Piper was in the kitchen, baking pies. She didn't even care about the holidays, including Thanksgiving. At least not anymore. It did give her an excuse to bake pies, though. Lots of pies.

Lana came in the house looking a little bemused. "This guy at the Leaf wanted to marry me to a chair."

"...did you let him?" House asked.

[dark_innocence]

"No," Lana said, looking shocked. "Of course not."

"Good to know you don't have an unhealthy attraction to furniture, then," House said.

[dark_innocence]

"Yes, perhaps you should jot it down in my file, just in case it ever comes up," Lana said, giving him an odd look.

"Maybe I will," House said.

[dark_innocence]

"So... here to steal Piper away or just her baked goods?" Lana asked.

"Both," House said. "Why have one without the other?"

[dark_innocence]

"Good answer," Lana said. "Steal away."

"I wasn't aware I needed permission, but good to know I have it just the same," House said.

"Well, it is my house and I am armed," Lana said mildly.

House just merely cocked an eyebrow at Lana.

Lana cocked her own back and smiled.

House gave her a little chuckle of his own.

"Well, carry on with the stealing," she said. "I need to go do something physical. Weeding, maybe."
