So it was brought to my attention today that one of our fellow sailors left the ship mid surge to take care of an illness he had acquired. All the tests and check ups done on board and at the hospital in Bahrain pointed to a thyroid problem. Said sailor has, needless to say, lost a lot of weight. Around 50 pounds worth.
