After his last meeting with Knuckles, where the echidna extolled the virtues of having extracurricular interests, R.O.B. decided to give it a try and see what could suit him. Hearing there was an opening at this cafe, he sent in an application. And this was going to be his first service.

He arrived early for his shift, and awaited his instructions.

"R.O.B!" A few months before, Bob would probably have politely refused his aid, but ever since the strange week, she found herself much more accepting of machines. "I'm glad you came. What would you like to do today? Serve drinks? Work the cash register?"

[Bob points to a table of one, with a smaller table that looks like it can sit four waddle dees and doo next to it. You're going to eat and there's nothing you can do about it.]

Well, the food was going to be relatively cheap, and if there was something Lash knew, it was that if Kumatora's dadmom's advised her to go eat anywhere, the food was probably going to be very good. They were connaisseurs of fine dinning, after all.

And as usual Arceus had overdone herself to the point that it was ridiculous. No way this place was actually making any money, but she didn't really question it, as food in nearly unlimited quantities was always appreciated. She looked around to see if there was anyone she recognized to sit with them.

Lighter passed by the cafe a few times in his rare trips out into the heart of the city, but most of the time it was closed. Today was different, and since he wasn't in any particular hurry to buy some of those magic potions or whatever for his Pokemon, he decided to drop in.

The second he stepped through the door he felt under dressed and out of place. Why did eating have to be such a formal event anyway?!

"Lighter!" Arceus greeted in her little black dress. "You look very nice this morning." Strange how the man who felt under-dressed suddenly appeared to be clothed in something snug and tight-fitting.

"Are you going to be joining us today?"

Lighter definitely felt the change from his nice comfortable work clothes to this crazy fancy-pants crap, but considering who he was talking to, he wasn't as surprised as he thought he would be in such a situation. "Uh... Yeah, you too. I guess I'll stay now that I'm all gussied up like this. What d'you got on the menu?"

Something smelled good in here. So naturally, there was a hungry college student.

Goombella wasn't prepared for the quality of the spread before her. Bob clearly outdid herself on this one. Could she even afford this place?

Goombella was a little more interested in how Bob knew what Goombella was thinking than how she suddenly appeared next to her. But then she remembered. It was Bob. That's all the answer she needed. "Oh, are you sure? Then I guess it's okay... I AM starving, after all."
