I can haz autoclave!
That's quite a bonus for a half day's work cleaning junk out of the basement of a medical clinic. A front loading autoclave that I went around and asked about. I was told to go ahead and throw it out, so I threw it out in the back of my car.
I suppose I should test it before I haul it across the country. -
Only not illegal when government does it
Well it's happened again. Social Security is taking in less money than it pays out. This would be an opportune time to dismantle the system since there is forced momentary honesty that the SSI payments need to be paid out of the general fund. It won't happen, so much for transparency.

I used to clean carpet
Back in the early 1990s I worked for a Chem-Dry franchise and one day I got to fill my water tank up with a hand pump. The is the only time I'd ever encountered a working hand pump to that point and I thought it was really cool. Boot camp showers
When I was in boot camp they would time our showers so that almost all the division in the building were showering at the same time. This meant that the hot water lasted about 30 seconds for the first group of guys in the shower and no one else got any hot water. There was no hot water for shaving either. Watching Jericho
It's on Syfy and I see economic and political realities played out. New Bern was a large town with industry and trade. Jericho was a small town with farms, they would go to New Bern for shopping because it had the nearest Costco. So when trucks stop rolling into New Bern it wasn't long before they ran out of food. Howard Zinn is dead. He was my favorite left leaning historian. He always provided an interesting view on things. I tended not to like or agree with a lot of what I read or heard from him, but that does not mean that I did not appreciate his ideas. He will be missed.

My teeth are where they are
When I was in fifth grade I was taken to an orthodontist which I was quite excited about because I was looking forward to getting braces. I didn't get braces at that time because there was another option that cost much less and would work well enough for the way my teeth were.
