Only not illegal when government does it
Well it's happened again. Social Security is taking in less money than it pays out. This would be an opportune time to dismantle the system since there is forced momentary honesty that the SSI payments need to be paid out of the general fund. It won't happen, so much for transparency.
If a private company ran an operation the same way all the people at that company would go to prison. Why can't we send all the people in the government to prison for this? At least when I private company does this we have the option of not participating, which makes the situation more honest right there.
