More to the point, if Zero locked himself up in X6. who the hell was Zero in X7? A clone? XDD Idiots. XD

Anyway, you have to assume that Zero was around through part of 22xx, and X8 takes place in 21xx, so even if you ignore CM as non-canon, Zero can't have sealed himself any sooner than X9. (Now, that would be an interesting way to start X9 though- JUST X and Axl? But they know Zero is too big a draw to leave him out of stories...)

I'm not surprised Capcom has question marks all over the place; the narrative becomes paaaainfully incoherent after X6. To save my sanity I like to think of X1-X6 and Zero1-Zero4 as one universe, and X7, X8, and CM as an alternate timeline.

Aha, but this is where ZX screws everything up! It's a clear follower to the Zero and, by extension, the X series... And Advent has a Biometal with Axl's properties, and Axl's not mentioned by Ciel anywhere (she created the ZX Biometals to counter the Weil Biometal). So Axl has to exist at some place before the Zero storyline to have a biometal able to be based on him!

*smile* Anytime! Plus, like, I suck at the non-portable Rockman games. So I gotta get my revenge through the Zero and ZX series. (Now, if only October would come quickly so ZX Advent is mine and I can beat it ASAP to see if Model A's origins are in there or left to speculation...)

Yes. Capcom is teh suck on their own timelines. At least the games are fun to play.
