Just finished one week of leave. It was good to be able to relax and see all my loved ones, but I think I'm ready to rejoin my other family now.

Just finished FOB ops the other day. Thankfully the torrential rainstorms during which we had to lie in the mud accurately simulated the lush tropical environs of mesopotamia. *cough* Look forward to seeing you all in a few weeks.

Hi everyone. I'm stuck here at Dona Ana, in the New Mexico desert. It's no fun at all, but we try to make the most of it. The chow's good, but internet access is pretty limited. Just finished an SRP - that's Soldier Readiness Program in English. Basically a 1 day repeat of reception... full of paperwork, signatures, and innoculations. Got the smallpox vaccine, which sucks.
