Just finished an SRP - that's Soldier Readiness Program in English. Basically a 1 day repeat of reception... full of paperwork, signatures, and innoculations. Got the smallpox vaccine, which sucks. Don't really have time to explain so just google for the shot in question and I'm sure you'll dig up congruous grievances. Spent much of the day chatting with LT Fiesel, discussing the military and home, and picking his brain on the subject of being commissioned. I was considering specialization in the armored corps after ROTC, but contemporary guerilla war is leading to a reduction in the, eh, blunter military arts. To pay homage to the sacred tradition of continuity, the marine wireless is now somewhat accessable from our barracks, and highly accessable from the smoking area outside.
