On a lighter note, finished packing for China, now updating my mp3 player, ripping two cds from Switchfoot onto it right now. All I can say now...YAY :D

Our concert was amazing, and our low reed section especially kicked ass. Ana, Ted, and I sounded amazing on our solos and our solis :D :D We just rock. Of course it's a given, seeing that we're bassoons and bass clarinets, the two most amazing instruments EVER. Communication. It's the first thing we really learn in life. Funny thing is, once we grow up, learn our words and really start talking the harder it becomes to know what to say. Or how to ask for what we really need.

Auditions today, fun...for some odd reason I had no nerves whatsoever, until the middle of my second etude. So being the smart one, I didn't look at any of my pieces at all until last night, learned two of the three pieces in an hour (thank god I'm great at sightreading) and realized the third piece was the same song for the 7th grade band ( Read more... )
