"Exercise is good for you," replied Dante nonchalantly. He figured if the guy in the hoodie wanted to pounce on him, he would have done so already. "Since you seem to have enjoyed the show, I'll assume you're on my side of things. So help a party crasher out here: what have I been killing and how do I get back to what I was supposed to be killing before someone thought it was a good idea to drop me here?"

"Can't really define them. They're organic, but...not. Somehow. They exist, yet they don't seem to truly exist. From what I was told, they come back the next night, anyway. Best you can do is put 'em down for a while. You're in Siren's Pull, now. As for getting back, I think that's beyond us."

"Oh great, they just spawn again?" Dante sighed. "Well alright, if they just come back every night, there's no use chasing them down now. So, you seem to know your way around. What are you up at this hour? I would think most people would avoid being caught out here if there's no point in killing these things."

"...it's pointless, you know."

Fai's steps were slow, steady, as he made his way towards where the man was fighting the monsters, blue eye on the monsters, hands in the pockets of his black trench coat as he made his way closer, on his way home from his shift at the Twin's club.

"They disappear for the moment when you kill them, but they'll be back tomorrow."

Dante kept his weapons pointed away from the stranger. Really he was glad to find a sentient being to consult, and did not want to risk antagonizing the person that approached him.

"That's good to know. I suppose I'll stop chasing these things around then." He frowned, but only for a moment. The blond didn't carry any visible weapon, but surely no one would wander around in the dark with monsters without defenses. "So uh...Seems my rotten luck with women might turn around," he smirked, completely oblivious of his mistake.

"...is that so?"

Fai laughed softly, a low, melodic sound as he made his way closer still. He canted his head to the side, messy blond locks sliding across the eye-patch a bit more as a slow smile curved his lips, more amused than anything by the assumption. "Are you so sure of that, my friend~?"

And then he blinked and nodded his chin up towards the rotgut cougar, added lightly, "Behind you."

"I'd say that beautiful smile beats shooting me in the head like the last lady I met did."

Dante looked around in time to see the feline monster creeping on him. The appearances of monsters long ceased to impress him, though he did wonder at the logic of evolving such a bloated belly. It didn't look so tough. He took a swipe at it with his sword, unsure of what to make of the way it just flopped over and took the hit.

"Er..." Well back where he came from, some creatures like Blood Gargoyles liked taking hits because it made them multiply. He had a sinking he just made that mistake here.

With Rain's new schedule of helping Fai prep food in the mornings, he's had to adjust his clock to ring right after sirens. Living here for only a few, scant months has already conditioned him to sleep right through the klaxons, so a second alarm is definitely needed.

But, today, in the hazy period after the sirens and before his clock, a rather loud explosion prematurely awakens him and he falls off the bed in a clumsy heap.

Cursing, he gathers himself up and blearily gazes out the window for the cause of it all, and is surprised to see only a man in a red trench-coat standing outside the doors, looking lost.

He opens the window to get a better look.

The small movement in the upper story windows catches Dante's eye easily. He waves both his arms at the inhabitant. "Heeeey!" he shouts, nevermind about the other people in the apartment who might be sleeping still.

"Keep it down!" He mouths disapprovingly, and then thinks better of it and pantomimes at the front doors, indicating that he'll meet Dante there.

Grumbling the whole time as he changes and then descends all 5 floors of stairs, Rain arrives at the lobby and unlocks it for the other man, holding it open, "C'mon."

It was only a few hours earlier that he'd been escorting Sabriel in -at this rate, he might as well be a Greeter and be paid for his efforts.

"Well well, you act like you've been expecting me! That means you either had something to do with why I'm here OR this is where all lost travelers go and I'm just one of many."

A sleek and sinister-looking white sports car drives recklessly by in the night. Anything that attacks it is treated to a small laser cannon that pops out of the cars roof. The "car" gives a self-satisfied "Ha!" for every hit and swerves around yelling "Ack!" for every monster that makes contact.

"Is that a talking car?" Dante squints, although there is really no need since the car is white and stands out clearly against the darkness. His face cracks into a silly grin as he realizes there is a car...fighting monsters. "Now that is my kind of ride!"

Further down the street, a monster latches on to the rear bumper and no amount of swerving can dislodge it. With a deep, exasperated moan the "car" starts breaking apart and parts start rearranging and bending themselves in inconceivable ways. The front bummer becomes a chest, the roof splits in two pieces on what becomes a back, the door panels wrap around the top of what are turning out to be a pair of long legs, while the rear bumper splits and becomes the lower legs, feet, arms and a scowling head pop out in their respective places ( ... )

"Eh? Wait up!" Dante chases after the car, what monsters in his way already conveniently knocked out by the object of his pursuit. "That is so cool!" he yelled, maybe childishly.
