Who: Dante and YOU
When: Backdated to Sept 17 Night and Sept 18 Daytime
Where: Near the Diamond and Starter Apartments
Summary: Dante likes cutting through monsters as much as the next guy but he's quite lost, especially when daylight clears the monsters and it becomes less obvious to him what he should be doing
Warnings: Nothing foreseeable yet, though violence follows Dante around
As much as Dante liked to vent his frustration on the mindless creatures bent on attacking him, he had to admit to himself that a mountain of corpses wasn't going to get him anywhere. To add to that, the monsters were becoming more and more of a nuisance to kill, as though they knew, or learned which of them had the best chance against him. Not that any of them had a winning chance, thought Dante as he sliced through a particularly gelatinous blob monster. The creature simply fused together after Rebellion swiped through it, and continued to ooze after the demon hunter.
Dante jumped away and in the same motion put his sword away in favor of his handguns. By the time his heels found solid ground again, Ebony and Ivory were well on their way unloading lead rain into the monster. But the monster trudged on. Some of the bullets made it right through the thing, and others ended up lodged inside its hideous body, none of them seeming to hinder it. It opened what could be assumed to be its mouth.
"Don't you know when you're supposed to lay down and die?" Dante stood his ground as the towering mass of goo threatened to consume him. He swung Nevan over his shoulder in front of him and ran his fingers over the strings. An electric spark shot out from the instruments towards the monster. It was a small spark, but it was big enough to make the monster hesitate as it absorbed the shock. "Ya like that?" smirked Dante. The demonic guitar glowed eerily, brighter and brighter, as the monster decided it was not afraid of the strange lights after all. It lunged.
And then it exploded, its gelatinous body unable to absorb Nevan's intense electrical surge. Its upper half was blown away, scattered into huge droplets of goo on the cement. Its lower body writhed, still intact. Dante simply sprayed that full of Artemis's missiles, and then commanded them to burst at once, fully destroying the monster.
"That one almost put up a fight," commented Dante to no one in particular, holstering his weapons and continuing on his way, following the signs people made here and there but not sure what he was supposed to be looking for to begin with.
---
Daylight found Dante standing at the foot of an old but sturdy apartment. The signs ended here, though Dante wasn't sure he was supposed to be looking for an apartment. There were certainly no more monsters; all of them disappeared after the sound of sirens he heard earlier.
"Hmm."
[ooc: Since I am pretty late at posting this intro post I don't mind if you prefer to meet Dante in the daytime or at night. Just specify, either in the post or the topic title.
