But, today, in the hazy period after the sirens and before his clock, a rather loud explosion prematurely awakens him and he falls off the bed in a clumsy heap.
Cursing, he gathers himself up and blearily gazes out the window for the cause of it all, and is surprised to see only a man in a red trench-coat standing outside the doors, looking lost.
He opens the window to get a better look.

Grumbling the whole time as he changes and then descends all 5 floors of stairs, Rain arrives at the lobby and unlocks it for the other man, holding it open, "C'mon."
It was only a few hours earlier that he'd been escorting Sabriel in -at this rate, he might as well be a Greeter and be paid for his efforts.

He loosens his grip on the door and lets it swing toward Dante while he heads off inside-whether the other man catches it or not is his business.

Rain grabs some instant coffee mix and hot water in a cup off one of the lobby counters, then turns around and sits heavily in a chair across from Dante.
"No matter where we "Newcomers" come from, we all have one thing in common: we can't go back home. So...how is this place like where you're from?"

Dante looks around for a moment.
"What do people do during the day if there's no monsters in the daytime?"

“So you’re a demon bounty-hunter of some sort?” It’s asked in a skeptical tone, but Rain inwardly admits--that’s kinda cool, like a character out of a video game.
That's such a weird question. "Uh, go to school, work, regular normal stuff? What did you used to do?"

"So there're demons walking among people in your world?
I think you'll have no trouble finding a job here doing something similar, although you'll only be going after humans with powers. Probably not as exciting as you're used to."

"Humans huh." Dante's expression darkens. "I don't like killing humans." But then again he doesn't like being plopped randomly into another dimension either. Maybe it's something he'll just have to learn to get used to.
"Back there, there was enough to kill without having to include humans, I'll put it that way."

Then, Rain starts at Dante's words--that wasn't what he had meant to imply in the least!
"Gah! There are bounties you bring in alive, you know? You don't have to kill them!....Then again, when you think about the companies you're turning them in to, maybe you shouldn't do any bounty-hunting at all...
...Any way, my name's Rain Jewlitt. Nice to meet you, Mr...?"

"And really? Bringing people in alive? Well that's just a whole new kind of trouble." He'll have to see who's paying out for the trouble before he makes any solid decisions about what he plans to do. If they are big 'companies' like Rain said then why wouldn't they just do it themselves?

"Well, 'Just' Dante, I'm sure you can do other things besides hunt bounties...Do you have any ideas?"
In fact, Rain was all in favor of doings OTHER than what that would cause harm to people. Criminals or not. The fact that Dante had reacted in a way that showed he didn't like killing people made Rain respect the young man.
