Very few people here know there's anything to regret. I'm more concerned about Edgeworth's reaction, considering Kira admitted to being responsible for a murder--however, he knows as well as I do that a confession by no means makes someone a killer.

I have great affection for my name, as you can imagine. It's why I was so amused by the name of your sword; the moon's reflection in a pool.

I'm sure those reassurances are often quite deliberate. [He can guess who you're talking about, but the meaning of the sentence is very obtuse, so he doesn't say so outright.]
