[The NV flickers on to a pane of glass, behind which are a number of mattreses and futons, labeled with appropriate prices. An observant person will notice Neji's reflection in the window, and even more so, the strip of dark cloth pulled across his forehead rather than his headband. Pale fingers tap the glass and he turns away]I suppose what I have

[ A pause. ]
As for those pesky Darkness creatures, besides the typical tentacle monsters and strange beings that crawl in the night, I can't say there's been anything more unusual than normal. Though I would presume they have some kind of aversion to sunlight, given the fact that they emerge after dark.

You caught sight of me earlier in that district? [Then-] ...I wouldn't share a bed in the case I had any such visitors. I'm fine on the floor for an evening- as I have yet to get any other furniture. A desk might be the best option at this point, however.
Of course, that would be a sensible conclusion. I wonder if anything has been caught before to see if the theory holds true after the sirens in the morning. In any case, I was speaking of actual oddities specifically during the transition after either siren.

Ah, by the way, you broadcasted a video of you furniture shopping...
...The floor or a desk? Wow, Neji, I never thought you to be the type. I always pinned you to be a little more traditional.

This world's definition of 'strange' is rather encompassing of most things, I suppose. But in this case, I refer to anything that may have occured over the course of arrivals during these short transitions: from late afternoon to the siren's announcement of the beginning of evening, or when the dawn is announced- those strict few minutes if you've observed them.

I don't think the darkness cares whether the sun is still out, I mean without light there are no shadows so I don't see why the sun would keep it back.

Darkness in the evening hours seems different from the shadows of the sun in this case, but if it's not adverse to light itself, I wonder if it isn't the heat. In any case, I suppose it doesn't need to have reason for 'choosing' the same time of day to appear, but if it were able to take form at any time, it's a wonder why it doesn't afflict the city for the entirety of the day.

For all we know the darkness could have been all the time before the first person showed up here and changed when newcomers started arriving.
