[ Not her usual video this time, but her Scottish is as distinctive as ever. It sounds like she's rummaging around and cleaning up, so there's a reason. ]

The snowglobes were nice while they lasted, yeah? I wasn't really expecting them to melt though. [ Guess who had to clean up a bunch of them? ] Sort of made me miss a few things. Well, okay, ( Read more... )

Yours melted too? Ugh. Glad I'm not the only one, I JUST cleaned up my desk. I miss that too. Looking at the stars, I mean. If you ever get stuck outside at night, you never exactly have time to look at them. ...That is, unless you LIKE getting bit in the face.

[Doesn't everybody?]

... How long've you not been able to get a hold of Sherlock?

Yep, and I had three of them here. [ not fun, even though she enjoyed having them. ] But ehm ... no I definitely don't like getting bit in the face.

[ sigh. remember when going outside was easy. ]

About a week. Ish.

Shit, I thought cleaning up one of them was bad enough. You musta had fun. [She laughs.] Me neither.

... Oh. [oh hey check out that edge of caution she's trying to cover up.]

Guess they had to have some kind of catch. [ chuckles back. ] It would be nice though, if there was a place to go where that wouldn't happen.

[ yeah, she hears it. ] ... They probably left, didn't they?

I think? I mean, I haven't heard from them in a while. And John's not that bad about ignoring his phone.

Can you still reach the number, or is it disconnected?

Ehm. Well, I haven't tried lately. [ except she did. ] I left them messages when the snowglobes started showing up.

[ they were disconnected, she knew. but that wasn't really the answer she wanted. ]

[Because who doesn't like being stuck down Nostalgia Lane.]

Amy, what year are you from? [There's a point to this question, really.]

[ that's an odd question. probably because she's the one used to asking it. ]

Oh, ehm. 2010. Why?

2010. [There's a slight noise of relief- but only slight.] An' you were .. on Earth before that? The years before; 2008, 2009?

[ she smiles slightly, lifting her eyebrows. ] Right, yeah. As far as I can remember. The Doctor showed up two years before that, but I didn't leave with him until he came back.

Meltin' is the lesson. If mysterious enchanted snowglobes turn up outta nowhere, leave 'em where the mess won't make a difference.

Well, snowglobes don't usually have a habit of melting. But ehm, I'll ... be sure to remember that next time.

I could send you some video/hologram files of stars, if you want. They wouldn't be the ones you knew, but they'd be clear and bright.
