And they didn't respond, even then? It's been well over twenty-four hours since then. Why didn't you contact the police?

No, I just assumed they were busy. I mean, I did think it was weird, but it is them. Didn't seem like something I should bother the police with. Aren't they usually helping them anyway?

Not always, and we aren't paid to keep track of them. I know John will answer his phone almost immediately, even if you text him.
