Having had another program the holoform for him - with excruciating detail, apparently, enough to make him briefly question how Knock Out had gotten so much data - Nemesis had only so much care for the effort and concentration it took to program them. What he did care for was testing the range; he was parked at one end of the zone, the furthest he could go, and then it was a matter of sending the holo out and just...walking.

Though he did try a run, once he felt comfortable. The motion of limbs was...different...but not impossible to understand. When he did, and realized he wasn't getting tired...he slowed in to a jog.

Maybe he wasn't, not exactly making any physical exertion, but humans would. The only strain he expected to feel was once he reached his outer limit, and that could take anywhere from another few minutes to hours. Humans could only go so fast, too, far less mobile then he was...

He didn't pay much attention as to where he was going, as long as it was away. Buildings and streets were noted only so that he could ( ... )

Soundwave had no smell like this-- not like a human. As his hologram sits almost motionless, the birds at his feet barely noticed him. He might as well be part of the scenery. Truthfully, he was watching them more than he was paying attention to his surroundings or even the awkward proportions of the hologram's limbs, and the birds were happy enough to flutter around in the grass and sidewalks around him.

It was only when the birds became startled, running off away from an approaching human before they take flight to a nearby tree that Soundwave lifts his head. First, his eyes follow the birds to the tree, but then his expression changes to slight annoyance as he seeks out the disruption.

He's on his feet as Convoy jogs closer, then makes a grab for his arm when he's close enough to do so.

The human is noted, then dismissed. Standing is also noted, not quite as dismissed - thus, the grab is neatly avoided by a few steps to the side. Nemesis does deign to slow to a stop, still facing the man.

And he doesn't say anything. His half-scowl speaks loudly enough; what?

These human limbs are clumsy and slow, he notes. The reaction time isn't what he'd expect. It might be because he's new at piloting the hologram, but he is ready to dismiss that thought as soon as it processed. No, he's a swift learner. It's just a flaw of human design.

Having a face means he's much more expressive though, and he glares slightly at Convoy. It's an awkward glare, since really Soundwave doesn't fully grasp expressions yet. He doesn't even realize he's interacting with another mech at the moment; he's more concerned with how careless this human was.

He points at the tree, still frowning at him.

He's sure Soundwave has seen him coming, but that doesn't stop him. Knock Out parks his real self outside in vehicle form, carefully positioning himself at the curb for maximum appeal in the event someone wanders by. Part of him, though, wanders in.

Knock Out's hologram is a labor of love, possibly moreso than Soundwave's, for what Soundwave's lacks in detail Knock Out's more than makes up for. It's full of life and animation, his expressions and movements as fluid and realistic as any living body--particularly the smirk on his mouth as he slides up to sit beside Soundwave's holo, startling the birds away.

"Well, someone's been busy."

He makes no effort to hide the way he eyes the holoform, appraising Soundwave's work. He's even so bold as to reach over and lightly pinch one of Soundwave's arms to test the solidity.

Love wasn't exactly something that Soundwave put into his own holoform. His was designed for convenience and blending in and he succeeded at that -- in his opinion at least -- but he cut corners on things he deemed unnecessary to include. Such as vocal function. Combined with the fact that Soundwave just didn't get human behavior, what with humans being creatures motivated by desires and feelings and he having removed his own functions for that, his holoform just comes off as a very awkward, creepy man ( ... )

The expression, or rather near lack of one, he gets in response isn't a surprise. Soundwave isn't the most emotive of bots normally--it makes perfect sense that his holoform would have the same lack of life to it. Still, Knock Out isn't deterred by the fact he knows he's annoying Soundwave. His real body is a safe enough distance to avoid sudden reprimand, leaving him free to test his limits here.

"Oh, don't be like that," Knock Out tuts, prodding the side of Soundwave's thigh. He finds it just as solid, complete with the appropriate clothing textures. Good.

"I'm just making sure everything's in order. I've discovered I have something of a knack for building holoforms."

There's another sharp grin as he leans over, intentionally encroaching on Soundwave's personal bubble.

"So, how detailed did you make it~?"

His annoyance is very mild to say the least, if you can even call it annoyance. It's more the fact that he has Knock Out labeled as a known nuisance and he was disrupting his quiet assessment of his new holoform. Not only was he scaring away the birds, but he also was somewhat interrupting his ability to blend in and people watch as well.

Personal bubble? Almost non-existent. Soundwave never was one to keep out of others personal space as well. But, the little bit of personal space he did have was being offended. Soundwave leans back from what he can manage, squinting slightly at Knock Out.

Detailed? Couldn't he see the detail he put in? The skin was porous, the clothing textured, the hair defined by each strand. What else could he mean?

It's his holoform that notices the neon yellow truck first, lifting his eyes away from the ground to watch it approach the library. His real body-- inside the library --as integrated into the system as it was, was unable to see the road outside without his hologram's help.

He didn't feel like being interrupted. Not when he was busy immersing himself in the databases of the station. He unhooks a cable and snakes it over to a access panel, slamming it in with a little more force than necessary. He works towards putting the library doors on lockdown. It wouldn't keep Ratchet out forever, but it would enough to be nuisance that he hoped would encourage any unwelcome guests to leave.

As deep into the library's systems as he was, he felt Ratchet hook up to the system. It was like a tingle through his circuits, making his frame shudder inside the building. He's not one to let an intruder just slip on past him though; he meets Ratchet within the system, first brushing past him, only leaving the slightest trace of his signature.

Then, he batters against him, working to push him out.

Barricade knows his way around pretty well. And he also knows what's out there on the station, now. The ones that would destroy every non-organic on this station are little enough of a threat, for now. There's a bigger problem. Of course, there's always a bigger problem. But this time it's not Autobots or running out of Energon - or Primus forbid, more zombies. It's a threat he knows all too well from other timestreams. And this time, he knows a little better how to deal with it ( ... )

Soundwave was still learning about the station, but he was gathering information rather quickly. As should be expected of him. He'll get his cables up into everything he deems to have valuable data, including other Cybertronians. Learning about the existence of other timestreams had kindled an interest in the Spymaster that was bound to result in some uncomfortable situations for the other mechs, somewhere down the road.

He's been keeping an eye on whatever activity he could find from them, but he couldn't keep tabs on them all the time-- not when he was trying to gather information on everything else, including the rift. He could only spread himself so thin. As such, he has no idea about most of the other mech's holoforms.

As such, when he sees Officer Cade come down the street, he thinks of him only as a human. Soundwave's holoform lifts his head and watches him, trying to study his movements. If he can glean a little bit of information on human behavior from studying them, then this wouldn't be a total waste of time.

Barricade knows it's coming, sooner or later. He's had a Soundwave shove cables into his ports before. But this time he doesn't have to sit and take it upon pain of death... or worse. This time he'll fight back with everything he has. For now, he can only wait for what's going to inevitably happen, and warn those that he knows. Get prepared.

Neverminding that aside from maybe one or two gaffs, he's tried to define his holoform as not being him. Since he's started presenting himself minus it, it's actually easier to drag it out to hide his real self. And a little safer.

When he notices the other human eventually, his holoform slows to a stop to look right back at the other. He tilts his head a little, raising one hand in greeting. Hello there.
