Having had another program the holoform for him - with excruciating detail, apparently, enough to make him briefly question how Knock Out had gotten so much data - Nemesis had only so much care for the effort and concentration it took to program them. What he did care for was testing the range; he was parked at one end of the zone, the furthest he could go, and then it was a matter of sending the holo out and just...walking.

Though he did try a run, once he felt comfortable. The motion of limbs was...different...but not impossible to understand. When he did, and realized he wasn't getting tired...he slowed in to a jog.

Maybe he wasn't, not exactly making any physical exertion, but humans would. The only strain he expected to feel was once he reached his outer limit, and that could take anywhere from another few minutes to hours. Humans could only go so fast, too, far less mobile then he was...

He didn't pay much attention as to where he was going, as long as it was away. Buildings and streets were noted only so that he could continue making that course.

Soundwave had no smell like this-- not like a human. As his hologram sits almost motionless, the birds at his feet barely noticed him. He might as well be part of the scenery. Truthfully, he was watching them more than he was paying attention to his surroundings or even the awkward proportions of the hologram's limbs, and the birds were happy enough to flutter around in the grass and sidewalks around him.

It was only when the birds became startled, running off away from an approaching human before they take flight to a nearby tree that Soundwave lifts his head. First, his eyes follow the birds to the tree, but then his expression changes to slight annoyance as he seeks out the disruption.

He's on his feet as Convoy jogs closer, then makes a grab for his arm when he's close enough to do so.

The human is noted, then dismissed. Standing is also noted, not quite as dismissed - thus, the grab is neatly avoided by a few steps to the side. Nemesis does deign to slow to a stop, still facing the man.

And he doesn't say anything. His half-scowl speaks loudly enough; what?

These human limbs are clumsy and slow, he notes. The reaction time isn't what he'd expect. It might be because he's new at piloting the hologram, but he is ready to dismiss that thought as soon as it processed. No, he's a swift learner. It's just a flaw of human design.

Having a face means he's much more expressive though, and he glares slightly at Convoy. It's an awkward glare, since really Soundwave doesn't fully grasp expressions yet. He doesn't even realize he's interacting with another mech at the moment; he's more concerned with how careless this human was.

He points at the tree, still frowning at him.

Apparently he did something wrong, but damned if he can figure out what. Nemesis looks at the tree, blinking once to refocus his visual sensors before back to the man, then at the three.

Humans are so dull witted. Was it even worth trying to blend in with these inferior insects? Soundwave stares at Convoy for a few moments, then points at the tree again, this time a little longer. Maybe he'll get the picture.

Can't you see the birds?

And that means...

All right, he gives up. With a growl of disgust sounding oddly organic - to him, but at least that's a sign that the sound transfer is working properly - Nemesis shakes his head, crossing his arms.

"I have no idea what you're trying to tell me."

This human thing was difficult. Around now Soundwave is realizing that his hologram doesn't have the same sound function as his real frame and that he didn't program enough vocal function into it. So, for once he was virtually mute and not completely because he chose to be.

How do humans communicate like this?

He makes a vague hand motion, trying to indicate the tree again, then pretty much gives up and makes an exasperated sigh and crosses his own arms.

What a strange position. He's never been able to do that.

Shaking his head, Nemesis tries to look again, harder, because it's clearly important to the man. Tree, birds in it, he's missing something about it...

All right. He'll ask.

"...is there something you want to show me?"

Obviously, this human is just stupid and blind. Soundwave gives up on trying to point since, at the moment, he's not entirely sure how to make other hand motions. But, he's very good at grabbing things at least, and that's a familiar motion.

So, his expression goes blank again as he reaches for Convoy's wrist. He hasn't exactly gotten a hold of maintaining expressions while performing motor functions yet. It is his first test.

Soundwave takes Convoy by the wrist and leads him around the bench and closer to the tree. His approach causes a bird or two to fly off, but the bolder ones remain, undeterred by their approach. He tugs Convoy a little closer, then raises his other hand and points directly at one of the birds.

See them?

At this point, Soundwave was truly starting to believe that birds were a superior earth species to humans. His experiences with humans both on Earth and here on the station has left him with a poor impression of them.

He gives Convoy a dull look, then nods. Wasn't it obvious? Nevermind that he doesn't really get expressions or anything of the sort like that. He just expects Convoy to understand that it was bird watching that was important.

How does he communicate this? If he was using his real body, it would be simple as just finding the right recording to use. Soundwave supposed that this was the biggest challenge to getting used to this form was to learn how to communicate in it. Humans and their communication.

He sorts to another form of communicating that he often used, the last bit that came naturally to him. Pointing. A lot. He points at the birds, then at Convoy-- awkwardly, he's not used to bending his arm that way --then back at the bench. He swoops his arm from the bench up towards the tree again, trying to indicate travel.

You scared them off up there, you dick.
