More house stuff: something I forgot to mention in the previous post was that the problems with the home office/upper room of the addition where it's not attached well to the main home are still present and aren't caused by the settlement/foundation issues. I'm headed off to the northeast for my friends' wedding and some other wandering. In theory I will have internet at least part of the time, but I'm not counting on it, just in case.

Last night was an adventure in making shrimp corn chowder. Turns out the recipe I used would have been better for a large group of people, and as a result I now have 6 pints of frozen soup plus two more in the fridge for later.
