If I seem a little scarce on LJ this week its because I picked up the equivalent of three extra shifts worth of hours.
I'm putting in a 50+ hour week and my only day off is Wednesday.

Friday I work from 3:30 pm to 3 am. Woo.

I just beat Assassin's Creed: Revelations this morning.

I'm 2/3rds of the way through Blue Mars. When I finish it I'm moving on to A Canticle For Leibowitz, which I just borrowed from my mom.

I also picked up 18 hours this week, which is better than usual. Coupled with my $350 tax return I'll be ok for the next month or three if I keep my spending ( Read more... )

First my car wouldn't start while I was at the edge of city limits and the customer had to jump me. (Don't ask what's wrong, because not even the mechanic can figure it out.) Thanks to Wuffy's mom I found out that Wendy's was having open interviews the other day. I went, and did everything in my power to impress.

They will be calling me tomorrow afternoon to schedule a follow-up interview.

A steady source of income is what I need right now, so even though I won't love the job I'll gladly take it and work as many hours ( Read more... )
