it kind of sucks when you think about it that you weren't challenged in high school and therefore not prepared for college. In my case, that won't be happening. I think my school dedicates so much freaking time to that.

Psych... yeah. I'm not really into the fandom or anything, and I'm still watching it and enjoying it and everything, but. Yeah. I thought High Noonish would be better (though I did like the fact that Lassie asked them for help. I was all, "awwww"). The weird girlfriend subplot is bugging me. Like, they mention her when it's convenient but then like three episodes later, nothing. And not enough Lassie in the last one, either. Anyway. Yeah. Huh. I haven't really been thinking much about Psych lately.

COLLEGE. urgh, mine doesn't start for another two and a half weeks! I'm moving on the 19th, which really isn't that far away, but when everyone I hang out with has been in school for a month already, it's ridiculous. My dorm is suite style, too, so yay for having random things in common!!! As for fandom, I've been getting really stupidly into star trek lately, so. that pretty much sums it up, lol.

TL;DR: I'm not really into the Psych fandom either (except for my insane love for a few Shawn/Lassiter fics... ahem) But yeah, I agree. The girlfriend thing has been bugging me too. :( And I was okay when it was confirmed that Abby would be A Big Deal, because then it takes Shawn/Jules off the table. Now, I love Shawn/Jules, but they weren't taking it anywhere, so ( ... )

I adore the movie and the original series, haha. The show is pretty ridiculous and I love it because of that rather than in spite of it, ha. My dad was all, "I always hear you laughing at Star Trek. I never really thought of it as a comedy," and seriously, it's so. fucking. funny. I don't really take it seriously, but I'm completely addicted at this point. On top of the extremely low-budget sets and 60s graphics/sound effects and hilarious acting (mostly on shatner's part) I love it because of how Kirk and Spock work together so well and there's ~teamwork yey~ and I don't know, there's this weird sincerity about it or something and I really really like it. But yeah, it's pretty much so bad it's good. You should watch some more episodes... this comment is getting WAY too long, lol ( ... )

I only skimmed because I haven't seen the most recent ep, and I didn't want to be spoiled, but, yes, Psych seems off this season. It's like... they're trying too hard. I don't really know how to describe it, but these aren't the sort of episodes I watch over and over again, which is what I usually do with shows I'm obsessed with. :(

It makes me sad because I'm showing my parents the show for the first time, and these are the episodes they're seeing. :( Also, I want my Shawn back. ;) And the Shawn/Lassy goodness. (I admit, I went over to the dark side.)

Oh, first season I was intrigued (read: in love) with the idea of Shawn/Lassie. I mean, Lassy was the only one that stood up to Shawn's bullshit! IT WAS NICE. And then season two... not so much. Until Lassie Did A Bad Bad Thing. :D
