I just had class at the peds clinic at school and saw 3 babies that were less than 2 weeks old.  they're so tiny and I want one!  don't worry about me hurting it, babies are pretty difficult to break according to the peds residents.

holy crap, I just made it through my first year of medical school!  now, to celebrate!

An update on my life:

I am three weeks away from finishing my first year of medical school. This year went by so fast and I can't believe it is almost over and I'm about to begin the last summer break of my life (third year starts at the beginning of June). I saw my very first patient at Clinic tonight (Clinic = Student Family Health Care Center, teams of students, run by a 3rd or 4th year, take care of a patient who would otherwise not get to see a doctor because they can't afford health care)!!!  It's really the coolest and scariest thing ever to put on that white coat and have people see you as a ( Read more... )
