Enjoyed reading the Big Wall of Text. I might just pick up the Chrno Crusade manga. Also, in relation to your in progress FFVIII; I think I've had FFIX in progress just as long (6+ years).

Whoohoo, I love tl;dr. XP

I definitely strongly rec Chrno Crusade -- the mangaka managed to capture a certain mood in that series that is just really rare to see in shounen, and pulled it off successfully imo, with an amazing cast of characters. I haven't read his new ongoing series, but I'll admit I kind of don't want to because I don't know how he's ever going to top CC.

Oh, FFIX... that's also on my "to-play-SOMEDAY list". I dunno though, I'm really bad with 3d graphics, I have to admit. XD

I'm totally digging the Quincy/Lisa connection theories btw
I want in on the theories, no matter how crackacular. XDD

Read FMA! More surprises!

Doesn't a red-haired Snow White means that she's Rose Red? XDDD *shot* I know... Snow White from "and Seven Dwarves" isn't the same as Snow White from "and Rose Red"... they're names aren't even the same in the original German.I sort of tilt my head at Gakuen Alice. It's sort of deterring, but I can't figure out why. The convention of a high school student and a teacher in a relationship also unsettles me, but I guess maybe some inherent impression on big age differences and the student-teacher/mentor relationship ( ... )

Oh basically the theory's that Lisa is a former Quincy or has some sort of Quincy connection. Her facial structure and body language are really A LOOOOOT like Ryuuken and Uryuu's. And if you look closely this chapter there's a (Quincy?) cross on her mask... XDDD I've seen at least one person theorize that she's Ishida's MOM specifically, rofl, but I think that's a little TOO much of a stretch ( ... )

LOL at Ishida's mom theory. OH that's where he got his black hair from!!!!

Man, haven't read any Chinese manga in a while. So thanks for the Taiwanese manga rec. I think I've read only one manga series by a Taiwanese mangaka (don't remember her name....*panics*). The only Chinese mangaka I follow now is Han Lu (There are tons others of course, but I either don't like their art style or the artists I like do not produce long-running mangas). Have you read any of her work by any chance?

And it's nice you have to post tl;dr again! :)

The last sentence should read: it's nice to have you post tl;dr again! *dies*

Hahaha, now I know you're all just masochistic. :P

TBH I don't really read anything these days anymore unless it's easily accessible on onemanga or mangafox/etc *lazy*, so no, I haven't. How is her name written?

Her name is 韩露. I read her work from an online Chinese manga site and she does have a fan site in which I have to sign up and participate in forums and get points to read her work. Too lazy for that LOL.

RE Aoi Hana:

I watched the first two episodes and I think they adapted the manga rather well. I guess the anime covers the first year in highschool until sempai's graduation, and this part contains just enough little arcs/ episodes to make a series. However, it is indeed very quiet.

Yeah, I haven't had a chance to see the second episode just yet, but I loooved the first episode. That's my guess too, that the anime'll go up to the sempai's graduation. I think it's only going to be 11-12 episodes, so seems about right. Hopefully if it does well, they'll adapt more in the future.

i'm steering clear of new multi-chapter series atm (i'm stressing out enough over having massively re-read Asterix from online the other day ;) but your reviews are so much fun. and awesome. hehehe.

i've heard lots of interesting debate over the omnivore's dilemma. :)

Hahaha, glad to entertain. XD (I do recommend The Scarlet Chair if nothing else. It's only nine chaptersssss. :P Only bad part is that the last chapter can't be found anywhere, and 9 leaves off on a horrible cliffhanger.)

Omnivore's Dilemma is actually the one I wanted to read more (that was what he gave his talk on, and I've seen some of the debate too), but Botany of Desire happened to be what I saw. Oh well. Still some really interesting and well-researched stuff. :D
