Now, I don't normally post this sort of thing, theories being what they are and having been burned by the unfulfilled promises of HP fandom, but as I was reading the latest three Torchwood novels, a few things struck me as being highly relevant, especially in light of the recent spoilers that have surfaced about episode 12.

Wow. Torchwood. Watched 2x08 last night... so not in the right place to be watching these sorts of episodes, emotionally speaking. RLY.

Was wondering about the etymology of the term "beard", so I looked it up on the wikipedia, as one does. As I suspected, it derives from the idea of heterosexuality being considered more 'masculine' than homosexuality. But... that just seems kind of offensive.
