OH NOES

OMG, so my Torchwood series 2 DVDs arrived today from Amazon.co.uk, and they were delivered just as I was leaving for work, so I thought: "OK, awesome, I'll check out the (paltry) special features and stuff on my work computer at lunchtime."

So lunchtime rolls around, and I put the disc in, and Windows Media Player pops up and says "Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder and video card."

SRSLY, WTF. *smashes things*

And it can't be a region issue, because it's region 2 AND 4 (I'm in 4), and it'll probably work in VLC or something, but still. How stupid is that! GAH.

It had really, really better work on my computer AND my DVD player at home. Or I will totally cry :(

And you know, DRM issues have been largely intellectual and ideological for me in the past but this is really the first time I've not been able to use something I PURCHASED LEGITIMATELY just because the DRM's broken or whatever. NOT HAPPY. Damn you MPAA BBC!!1!
