Urrgh. So. Big Day Out, yesterday. Was pretty darned good. Oh, and also? Because I am slightly too ashamed to have made a separate post for this and didn't have time yesterday, you know that thing that happens in movies where people open a closet and a veritable avalanche of STUFF comes out and hits them? That happened to me yesterday when I was trying to find my bag in my other wardrobe. Um. I kind of shoved everything (paperwork. so much paperwork. oh god. help.) back in there and slammed the door fast and am trying not to think about it.

Not at all a dumb question, and yep, they are - I picked up my screenname back in 2000 because of them and basically used it everywhere (before that it was jenos idanian, guess where that came from :D :D) and so when I joined LJ I just went "ah, fuck it, I probably won't keep doing the LJ thing very long so who cares about thinking up a creative new name or something" and hahahahaaa, almost seven years later, I can't imagine changing it, even if I *do* regularly cheat on them with other bands now. (But I keep coming back!)

They sort of range from almost-pop-y stuff (third album, what Jon describes as "when we were smoking a LOT of pot" *snort*) to mostly bouncy arena rock type of stuff. I actually mean to do a pimp post with uploads and all fairly soon cos I haven't done so for a good two/three years, and I'm about three fandoms worth of new people since then who would not necessarily have any clue.

hahaha. i'll never forgot the guy in glasgow asking me if i was writing my will while waiting for U2 to come out. pretty sure people in dublin joked about it too. then again i'm sure it looked quite weird, because i was using a single sheet of paper and writing smaller than small, but yeah. anyway. *goes back to reading*

and now we're catching up the present. *LOVES*

and awwwww, you. i just. hrm, as Mel pointed out, this is something that should be on my "about me, I think everyone knew already but just in case, ______" list thing, I just... quotes! once they stick, I use them all the time, especially even around people who weren't there!
