Steph's kind of thinking it's probably actually been more than a few days since she was last here.

She can't figure out times exactly, but man, there's all sorts of people here that've got to have taken more than a few days to arrive. There appears to be a medieval castle and a skyscraper added to Shay's cargo liner. There's a long, low bunker

Monk, who is scanning the horizon just a few feet away, turns at the sound of footsteps.

His eyes immediately fall on the baby and he blinks, looking... curious. That's the best way to describe it.

"Hi there," he says to the child, then looks up at Stephanie. He knows he probably looks completely unfamiliar, since this is the first time in weeks he's been near the Cooper house -- he's mostly been in the city, poking around.

[after consultation with other muns, we realised Hana isn't actually there. so just pretend there was no baby. THERE'S NO BABY HERE. NO REALLY.]

Steph looks up from the kraken and grins at him. "Hi. You new?"

"Not really," he says, "just new to this part of town. I'm Adrian Monk," he says, offering (GASP!) his hand.

Living in Apocalyptica will change a man, no matter how crazy and set in his ways he may be.

Steph shakes it cheerfully, unaware of the momentousness of this occasion, and grins at him.

"I'm Steph. Steph Brown. I've been away for a couple of days, but I think there might have been a timeslip or something, cos it's definitely been way longer here. So you're from this world, really?"

Jamie is wandering around looking a little restless. Of all the duplicates he's sent out none of them had sent word back yet so he may not notice a young girl and a baby wandering around (Or a Kraken for that matter) until he's almost on top of them.

Steph looks up and jumps out of his way almost too late.

"Hey, wakey wakey," she suggests, grinning up at him. "There's a big hole in the ground. Probably not smart to walk around without paying attention."

Baby? There's no baby here. You never saw anything. You can't prove nothing.

Jamie blinked and then grinned. "Sorry. My heads are in another place. You new here? Or just old and I'm really unobservant."

"I was here a while ago, but I left with Sokka and Mel -- I'm not sure how long it's been here, I'm getting the impression it's been more than the few days it was for me." She waves at the piled snowbanks, with a grin.

"Am I nuts, or did you say heads, plural?"

There is a snowman, in the snow. A big, roly poly snowman.

Whose head turns to follow Steph as she walks by.

She pauses a few steps along and blinks at the farmhouse.

Then she turns her head slowly to eye the snowman narrowly.

"Okay, I might be crazy talking to you, but did you just move, snowman?"

The snow man shakes its head no.

Inside the snowman, a very compacted and warmer then you might think Thomas is trying hard not to giggle.

"Oh. Well, all right then. I'm glad we got that cleared up."

Steph gives the snowman the kind of look that says ...you're insane.

"...so you totally wouldn't mind if I accidentally knocked you over and kicked you apart, then?"

"Hey, is that a kraken?!" Coooooooool.

"That's what Sokka says." Steph glances up at the newcomer and grins. "Weird, right? I totally love this world."

Spots, meanwhile, waves happily at Samuel and makes some bubbles for him.

(Don't ask how.)

Sam gives Spots a tentative wave.

"Krakens are cool. Did you know that they eat people?"

"Apparently this one's someone's pet or something?" Steph crouches at the water's edge to peer at Spots thoughtfully. "He hasn't tried to eat me or anything yet. But I haven't really got close."
