Steph's kind of thinking it's probably actually been more than a few days since she was last here.

She can't figure out times exactly, but man, there's all sorts of people here that've got to have taken more than a few days to arrive. There appears to be a medieval castle and a skyscraper added to Shay's cargo liner. There's a long, low bunker

There is a snowman, in the snow. A big, roly poly snowman.

Whose head turns to follow Steph as she walks by.

She pauses a few steps along and blinks at the farmhouse.

Then she turns her head slowly to eye the snowman narrowly.

"Okay, I might be crazy talking to you, but did you just move, snowman?"

[transbender]

The snow man shakes its head no.

Inside the snowman, a very compacted and warmer then you might think Thomas is trying hard not to giggle.

"Oh. Well, all right then. I'm glad we got that cleared up."

Steph gives the snowman the kind of look that says ...you're insane.

"...so you totally wouldn't mind if I accidentally knocked you over and kicked you apart, then?"

[transbender]

"Hey now, no call for violence." The snowman's town is reproachful. "S'not like I'm threatening you with a gun or anything."

"It's okay if you want to," Steph says brightly, grinning. "I'm pretty good at dodging and disarming. Granted, I haven't trained properly for a while, but I could totally kick your firearmed snowman ass."

[transbender]

"I don't bother with such things." The snowman splits down the middle, as Thomas expands himself out of it, brushing snow from his coat. "If you have a weapon, people are more likely to use one on you."

Steph nods, laughing. With him, not at him.

Well ... mostly.

"Yeah, no, we don't use them either. Can I ask why you're standing around being a snowman, or should I just politely pretend not to notice?"

[transbender]

Thomas scratches at his head, his fingers a little longer then is normal. See, he doesn't use guns cause if he was ever caught in the middle of a heist, he doesn't want some bonehead security guard shooting him. Totally different reasons, little does he know. "Oh, you can ask, no one can stop you from asking, right?"

"All right," she says obligingly, smirking at him. "Why?"

[transbender]

"Because it was comfy?" And it allowed him to ogle the cute girls without being too obvious. His eyes tend to drift sometimes, and when his eyes drift, it's usually because they're stretching out of his head.

"And, just, uh, keeping the hand in, right?"

"Keeping your hand in?" she asks, hands on hips, eyeing him doubtfully. But still smirking, because, funny, even if slightly creepy.

"...what, you're a snowbender?"

[transbender]

"Well, no, just, general hider type, right?" His fingers stretch out snakelike against each other, tangling all up. It's a sign he's nervous, but he tries not to let it be off putting. "Real used to having to hide, and, should I ever get back, don't want to be out of practice."

She grins, watching his fingers, fascinated.

"Yeah, that makes sense. But why in the snow? You'd freeze your ass off, right?"

[transbender]

"Well, I don't really feel the cold anymore. Heat, yeah, I feel that fine, makes me all melty, but cold doesn't transfer, right?" He scratches his head with one tendril of a finger, the rest of them still interlaced at about waist height.

"Doc Tachyon said it was something to do with conductivity."

Steph is still fascinated by the stretchy hands.

"Does it hurt? Or does it just, like, feel weird?"
