Steph's kind of thinking it's probably actually been more than a few days since she was last here.

She can't figure out times exactly, but man, there's all sorts of people here that've got to have taken more than a few days to arrive. There appears to be a medieval castle and a skyscraper added to Shay's cargo liner. There's a long, low bunker ( Read more... )

Jamie is wandering around looking a little restless. Of all the duplicates he's sent out none of them had sent word back yet so he may not notice a young girl and a baby wandering around (Or a Kraken for that matter) until he's almost on top of them.

Steph looks up and jumps out of his way almost too late.

"Hey, wakey wakey," she suggests, grinning up at him. "There's a big hole in the ground. Probably not smart to walk around without paying attention."

Baby? There's no baby here. You never saw anything. You can't prove nothing.

Jamie blinked and then grinned. "Sorry. My heads are in another place. You new here? Or just old and I'm really unobservant."

"I was here a while ago, but I left with Sokka and Mel -- I'm not sure how long it's been here, I'm getting the impression it's been more than the few days it was for me." She waves at the piled snowbanks, with a grin.

"Am I nuts, or did you say heads, plural?"

"Well the snow just kinda showed up recently. As did the penguins," Jamie said scratching his head. "And the head thing is... well sometimes its hard to explain."

So instead Jamie knocks on a nearby fence post with his hand and creates another Jamie.

"It's usually easier to demonstrate."

"Or show off," the other Jamie snorted.

"Shut up!"

"You shut up!"

Jamie sighed and absorbed his duplicate. "It's a mutant thing."

Blink. Blink blink.

"... that ... must come in handy."

"It depends," Jamie said holding up his hands in a "what can you do?" kind of manner. "Lately I haven't been getting along with myself so much which is about as weird as it sounds. Oh, And I'm Jamie Madrox."

"Nice to meet you," Steph says, grinning. "I'm Steph Brown. I ... have heard of people who can do that, like, one of the Legionnaires, Tim said once, but I've never met anyone before. Or ... any people. That's totally and utterly bizarre, but it's also totally cool!"

"Legionnaires? Never heard of them. Then again I'm from an entirely different place than this world," Jamie said with a grin. "It has its benefits... however when I annoy myself it's a literal thing. Where do you hail from Steph? This your world or you a visitor like me?"

Steph's giggling at annoy myself, because she's easily amused like that.

"I'm pretty sure I'm a visitor, but I'm not a hundred percent sure yet." She's still got to go through those files and make sure. "This is a lot like my world used to be, but I was somewhere else for ages, a place called Eden."

"There wasn't a whole thing with an apple tree and a snake, was there?" Jamie asked as he raised an eyebrow.

Steph laughs, gesturing to lead the way inside -- snow's nice and all, but it's cold. "No, just the word 'Eden' painted on a wall. In blood, we think, but it didn't wash off. C'mon, let's grab a hot drink. Hey, do you have to feed all your -- extra yous?"

Jamie shook his head as he followed Steph in. "Nah, when I'm around I try to keep the eating to just one version of me. If I send any duplicates on the road though I let them fend for themselves. And for a place with blood used as ink? Does not sound like a friendly place."

"We got attacked once, but mostly it was just creepy," Steph agrees, making for the kettle. "Totally freaky. After a hwile, though, it was just mostly boring. Like, really, really boring. I've never been so glad to be out of somewhere." She grins at him.

"Well outside of the weird people who live here? Life on the farm can be a little dull. Then again I grew up on a farm so I may be biased," Jamie said looking around for some tea or hot cocoa or anything to go with boiled water. "But at least no one is attacking anyone here. How'd you end up getting here, if you don't mind me asking?"

Steph nods, grinning, and reaches for the jar of coffee she took care to bring from New York. "Yeah, it's quiet here, I'm definitely a city girl."

A Gotham girl. But this world's Gotham is -- well, she's not thinking about it.

"Flash and bang, and I was just randomly in Australia. I ran into Shay after a few hours, and he brought me here -- and then Mel showed up, and we went to New York to find Sokka and the babies. We just got back."
