Part Nine

The house was surprisingly quiet. That was what Taisuke noticed when he walked into the house, coming back from rehearsal. Where was the rest of his family? He knew Yuusuke was on a short trip with his school, but everyone else? Slipping off his shoes, he padded down the hallway.

"'kaachan? Ryosuke?" Taisuke peeked into the kitchen and pouted when he found no one there. "'touchan?" Walking into the dining room, his eyes caught sight of a note on the table.

Picking it up, he read it quickly. "Mou...no one is home." It seemed like his father was working over time and probably won't be back at all, while his mother went to help a sick neighbour and sent Ryosuke to stay over with one of his friends. Taisuke sighed softly, his mood immediately dampening. It was no wonder everyone said Fujigaya Taisuke didn't like being alone, and like a rabbit, will die when without company.

Another sigh was heard before Taisuke headed upstairs to take a bath before coming back down and find himself something to eat for dinner.

It was a while later, when Taisuke was snuggled against the couch, finishing the last of his pudding that the doorbell rang. He quickly sat up blinking, checking the clock. Who was at the door at this time? It was obviously not anyone from his family since they all had their own key and can open the door on their own.

Eyebrows knitted together, Taisuke placed down the empty pudding cup and spoon before getting up and headed towards the door slowly with hesitation.

Taisuke opened the door slightly and peeked out, "Who is i-" His eyes widened and quickly threw the door open. "Wataru!"

"Yo, Tai-chan," Yokoo grinned at him as he tried to stand up a little straighter.

Taisuke blinked before he started to look at Yokoo worriedly. "W-Wataru? You okay? You look..."

Before he could say anymore, Yokoo took a few uneven steps forward and threw his arms around Taisuke. "Tai-chan..."

"Wataru!?" Taisuke stumbled backwards in surprise. His nose quickly picked up the heavy scent of alcohol around Yokoo. Was the other drunk? Why was the other here? "Wait..." He tried to push Yokoo a little further away from him while bringing him into the house at the same time, then closing the door so the two were in the safety of his house. It wouldn't be good if paparazzi caught them and started making up stuff.

"Tai-chan..." Yokoo murmured again.

Taisuke decided that Yokoo didn't really know what he was doing anymore. Wrapping Yokoo's arm around his shoulders after helping the other take off his shoes, he started to drag the other further into the house, up the stairs to his room. Even though his family shouldn't be coming back, he figured that in case anyone did come back, letting them see Yokoo drunk like that wasn't the best thing.

It wasn't the easiest thing to do, dragging Yokoo around, but at least the other wasn't totally unconscious and didn't seem to be against moving, so Yokoo did manage to somewhat move about on his own.

"Baka Wataru..." Taisuke mumbled as he laid Yokoo down on his bed. "Just how much did you drink...?" He knew Yokoo didn't get drunk that easily, so why did the other drink so much? Was the other really happy or really...sad?

Pushing those thoughts away from his head, Taisuke knew he should concentrate on taking care of Yokoo first. He quickly ran to the washroom and filled a basin with water, grabbing a towel as well.

Back in the room, it seemed like now that he was lying down, Yokoo had let himself relax and had fallen asleep. Taisuke knelt beside the bed, biting down on his lip gently as he watched Yokoo.

"Wataru...I'm starting to understand you less and less..." Taisuke whispered, raising a hand to touch a piece of Yokoo's hair. "When you wake up, will you tell me why are you here...?"

After a while, Taisuke finally soaked the towel in the water and started to wash Yokoo's face. The other's cheeks were red from alcohol, and it was definitely a rare sight for Taisuke to see. Always, he was the one with red cheeks instead of Yokoo.

Once finished, Taisuke went to clean up. He wondered if he should find Yokoo a change of clothes. Then again, he probably didn't have strength to help Yokoo change while the other was asleep. He'll just have to wait for Yokoo to wake up then.

Soon, Taisuke was sitting back in his own room again, a book in hand, but not really reading, eyes focused on the figure sleeping on his bed.

"Tai-chan..."

The sudden murmur surprised Taisuke, his heart skipping a beat, and he quickly leaned forward to check, only to find Yokoo still asleep. "Speaking in his sleep?" he mumbled to himself. "And to think, I was going to forget about my feelings for you..." A sad look appeared on Taisuke's face. "Just what are you doing to me, Wataru? Stop it..." He could almost feel those cuts on his thigh starting to hurt.

Maybe Yokoo heard him. At that moment, Yokoo's eyes started to flutter. A low groan was heard as he moved slightly, waking up.

"Wataru?" Taisuke put down his book and knelt back down beside the bed.

"Tai-chan?" Yokoo looked at him blearily.

"Un..." Taisuke bit down on his lip. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine..." Despite saying that, Taisuke watched some sort of emotions flicker through Yokoo's eyes.

Taisuke frowned. "Are you sure? Do you have a headache or something? It seemed like you drank a lot. I got some water here..." He turned around and took the glass of water from the table, handing it to Yokoo. "You'll feel better after drinking some water..."

Yokoo got up and took the glass from Taisuke. "Thanks..." he murmured before gulping down most of the liquid in one go.

Taking the glass back once Yokoo finished and putting it back on the table, Taisuke asked softly, "Ne, Wataru, did something...happen? You don't look too happy..." Their roles seemed to have switched for a moment, as Taisuke remembered how Yokoo had been worried about him some time ago.

Yokoo chuckled dryly. "I'm pathetic, making you worry about me, even though you're younger than me..."

"That doesn't matter! We're frie-" Taisuke’s words were cut off when Yokoo suddenly pulled him into his arms. "W-Wataru?" He tried to ignoring how loud his heart was thumping against his chest. Trying not to stiffen up, Taisuke raised a hand and touched Yokoo's arm. "Wataru?" he repeated.

"...we just broke up. That's all."

Taisuke couldn't help but stiffen this time. Feeling tears gather in his eyes, he couldn't say anything for a moment. Yokoo really did have a girlfriend after all. He hadn't been wrong. Was it bad of him to be happy to hear that they had broken up though? Even though Yokoo seemed to be depressed, was it okay for him to feel this little happiness within blossom? "T-that...girl was your girlfriend after all?" he asked in a small voice.

"Yea..." Yokoo admitted. "I'm...I'm sorry I kept it a secret, Tai-chan."

Shaking his head, Taisuke wondered Yokoo was still holding on to him, but at the same time, he didn't want to push Yokoo away. "Everyone...has their secrets..." Including himself.

"We've been having some problems..."

Taisuke recalled the messages Yokoo got, the troubled expressions on Yokoo's face, the kiss in front of the rehearsal building...was it all because of that? He wasn't sure, but somehow, it made sense as well. "I...see..." he whispered.

Yokoo pulled back and looked into Taisuke's eyes. "I care about Tai-chan too much..."

"E-eh?" Taisuke's heart skipped a beat. What was Yokoo talking about?

Running a hand through Taisuke's hair before placing a piece of the other's hair behind his ear, Yokoo murmured, "She said...I was caring about you too much, more than her..."

Taisuke blinked a few more times. Did Yokoo just say what he thought he said? He was the reason Yokoo broke up with his girlfriend?

"I tried to convince her I was just worried about you as a friend since you were acting weird..." Taisuke's heart clenched at that. It was different then. "But she said that wasn't it..."

Trying to hold back his tears, Taisuke attempted to smile at Yokoo. "You must really like her..." He hesitated a little before trying to get up. "I should probably leave you alone..."

Yokoo stopped Taisuke from leaving though. "Tai-chan..."

"M-mh?" Taisuke's voice shook a little as he looked at Yokoo again.

Yokoo leaned forward and the next thing Taisuke knew was that there was a soft pair of lips pressed against his own. Taisuke's eyes widened and couldn't do anything at all.

The kiss didn't last long and soon, Yokoo had pulled back. He didn't say anything, just staring at Taisuke.

Voice lost for a moment, Taisuke finally managed to stutter out, "W-Wataru...? What...what was that for?"

"Sorry," Yokoo lowered his head. "I know you're going out with Hiro, but just now, you...I..." He lifted his gaze once again before pulling Taisuke towards him again with a little more force this time, causing Taisuke to tumble on to the bed with him.

"W-Wataru!" Taisuke stared up at Yokoo, wondering just how did things end up like this. His heart wouldn't stop beating quickly, unable to believe that it was actually Yokoo that was lying on top of him. "Are you...still drunk?"

"Maybe..." Yokoo replied with a small smile.

"Who am I then?"

Yokoo chuckled lightly. "Tai-chan of course. Who else?"

Taisuke still couldn't believe it. So, Yokoo didn't mistake him for his girlfriend or something like that then? Why did Yokoo kiss him then? Why was he lying under Yokoo now? "What...are you doing then? You just broke up with your girlfriend..."

"You know, Tai-chan..." Yokoo murmured. "To be honest, I didn't feel too upset about breaking up with her. At first, yea, which was why I went drinking..."

Taisuke didn't want to listen to Yokoo. He didn't want to listen to Yokoo talk about his ex-girlfriend. He wanted to push Yokoo away so he didn't have to feel his heart clench, but what Yokoo was doing was too confusing. He didn't know what the other want from him at all, and perhaps that was why he didn't move at all.

Yokoo was still talking. "I thought about why we broke up. What she said about me caring too much about you. It used to be complimenting me about how much I care about my group, but soon, it became only you...and how I was caring about you too much, that I should stop worrying and leave you alone..."

"...what...are you trying to say, Wataru?" Taisuke trembled slightly, not sure if he was afraid of hearing what Yokoo was going to say or not.

"I..." Yokoo looked down at Taisuke, his expression serious. "Hiro...might hate me for this..." he muttered to himself before leaning down and pressing his lips against Taisuke's again.

Taisuke froze. Yokoo was kissing him. Again. Why? His mind was reeling, and quickly, he managed to push Yokoo away this time. "W-Wataru?"

"I...I don't know myself..." Yokoo murmured. "I..."

Taisuke bit down on his lip, and after a few seconds, he made a decision. "Ne, Wataru...what if...what if I told you, I'm not going out with Hiro?" He'll take a risk. Maybe, maybe then Yokoo will be able to give him a better answer, maybe one that he wanted to hear.

"Ha?" Yokoo blinked. "What do you mean you guys aren't going out? But you guys, in that room..."

"We're not going out..." Taisuke said.

"Tai...chan?" Yokoo gave the younger one a confused look.

Taisuke slowly wrapped his hands around Yokoo's neck. "I'm not...that good of a person that you think I am, Wataru..." Fluttering his eyes closed, he leaned up and pressed his lips against Yokoo's lightly.

Yokoo barely moved or reacted at first. "What...are you doing, Tai-chan?"

"That's my line," Taisuke whispered. "What are you doing, Wataru? You were the one who kissed me first..." His eyes started to turn a little red. "What do you want from me, Wataru?"

Perhaps shocked by Taisuke's unshed tears, Yokoo couldn't speak for a moment. Shifting his weight over Taisuke just a bit, he studied the other's expression, trying to read what was on Taisuke's mind. He couldn't seem to be able to figure it out though. "Tai-chan..." With a low murmur, Yokoo leaned back down and kissed Taisuke once more, this time a lot firmer than previous kisses.

Whimpering slightly, Taisuke had no idea what Yokoo was trying to do, but he could feel the emotions within him bubbling in response, and he couldn't help but return the kiss, tightening his arms around the other.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, Taisuke wondered if he was being unfair to both himself and Yokoo. What they were doing was just going to make everything even more complicated, more confusing. He wanted to be selfish for once though. To be close to Yokoo just this once, because there might not be this chance anymore in the future.

Taisuke might have decided to be friends with Yokoo forever, but just this once, just this once, let him be selfish, and pretend that Yokoo felt something more than friendship towards him.

When Yokoo brushed his lips downwards on to his neck, Taisuke whimpered again, pushing his head back into the pillow. Feeling a hand sneak under his shirt, he let out a small sigh.

Giving Yokoo a little push, Taisuke made the other pause and look at him. "Ne, Wataru, you're really not that drunk, right? You know who I am?" He had to make sure. "Would you...would you forget this when you wake up?"

Yokoo chuckled and cupped Taisuke's cheek. "I still feel the alcohol buzzing a little, but I don't think I'm as drunk as you would get after two cans of beer." Taisuke blushed in response here. "You're Fujigaya Taisuke...and I promise I won't forget after waking up..."

Taisuke smiled softly at that, and seeing that, Yokoo kissed Taisuke again lightly before continuing what he was doing, kissing exposed skin while his hand stroked the soft skin under Taisuke's shirt.

Not remembering when and how their shirts came off, but soon, it was skin against skin, and Taisuke couldn't help but make small sounds as Yokoo touched him, and he touched the other in return.

"W-Wataru..." Taisuke moaned when Yokoo bit on his nipple lightly.

Yokoo chuckled lightly, "You like that, Tai-chan?"

Taisuke's face turned red at Yokoo's straight-forward question. He opted for not answering and just buried his face in the crook of Yokoo's neck, pulling himself a little closer to the other.

Despite not seeing, Taisuke was pretty sure Yokoo was either smirking or grinning as he trailed his hands further down, slipping into Taisuke's sweatpants. Enjoying Yokoo’' stroking touches with a small purr, he was caught by surprise when Yokoo brushed past his inner thigh, his fingertips catching on to something rough and bumpy against smooth skin.

Taisuke's eyes immediately flew wide open and his body stiffened.

"Tai-chan? What are th-"

Making Yokoo look at him, Taisuke murmured in a slightly shaky voice, "Don't ask. Just concentrate on this..." Pulling Yokoo down into a deep kiss, Taisuke didn't give Yokoo a chance to ask about the scars.

He had forgotten that it was something he didn't want Yokoo to ever know about.

Author's Notes: Uh...almost 7 months since the last update, I bring you the newest chapter of Tears? 8D; //whacked// It really has been too long. ;A; I'm glad Taisuke is still my main muse though, otherwise, I will like, never finish this story. //dies// Though, um, I might be losing my touch on the plot. Hopefully everything will still turn out fine though. ><''

I BET YOU NO ONE SAW THIS COMING. //whacked// Or um, at least most people were guessing that girl would have been a relative of Wataru or someone other than his girlfriend. 8D; Well, she was! Wataru's girlfriend that is. But it's now in the past tense, lol. XD

Now that this chapter is done, expect some Wataru POV soon. Maybe Wataru can earn back some points. Or not. Or...I don't know. XD; I swear I'll get another chapter out by the end of this month. >| (...I'm spending too much time doing fandom stuff compared to uni work during this strike, wth)
