preaching today at 7.30 or so on Job. i'll talk about pain and suffering and how to deal with it in a life of faith. i chose this passage weeks before, so it almost anticipated shock and pain of the last few days. i don't know if i should preach about this at an outdoor worship service, it might be a bit heavy. but i trust in what's unfolding.

So I talked to Juli briefly tonight after not talkin' for a month. At some point she tells me that she's gettin' married to the fella she started seein' in May. She met him not even two months after we broke up, and she's known him for two months and now they're engaged to be married on Halloween. What the F? i drove down to detroit today. it was a huge change from the affluent town of birmingham, michigan. as i drove towards downtown detroit, most of the buildings were boarded up and i saw mainly liquor stores, fast food and gas stations in operation ( Read more... )
