The stays are almost done

Though I shall confess to not getting a single eyelet sewn, so I sewed myself into to it using an upholstery needle and narrow cotton tape.  The tabs aren't bound yet either, cos 5m was about 2m (aka over 2 yards) short of what I need.  The binding I got is too wide, so I'm going to see if splitting it down the middle makes it wide enough ... and

LOL, the girls need some lifting these days. I'm gone to add some more bones to the next one, and try some horizontal boning.

Wow, looking great. You as well as the corset, VBG. I'm very envious. I'd love to get my Victorian corset made by late April to display at Bathex Exhibition 2010 with my vintage undies, but I keep getting more commissions than I can reasonably handle. And I'm going away to Norfolk Island on a holiday the week straight after Easter. So unless I can figure out how to stitch while asleep, not happening !!

ooh, what a nice holiday. You'll need it by then. I need to make another couple of these, and fully bone the front. I'm going to add a couple of horizontal bones too
