The stays are almost done
Though I shall confess to not getting a single eyelet sewn, so I sewed myself into to it using an upholstery needle and narrow cotton tape. The tabs aren't bound yet either, cos 5m was about 2m (aka over 2 yards) short of what I need. The binding I got is too wide, so I'm going to see if splitting it down the middle makes it wide enough ... and then I have enough metres of it too.
But so you can see what progress I made here's a photo - and I've made a Note To Self to not tuck my chin in while holding camera at arm's length.
I'm going to make a couple more sets, though I shall need to have more boning on the front, not less. I also need to lower the back by 2" or 5cm, as it is higher than the back neckline on my Past Patterns dress.
and seriously I have the stance of a brawling wrestler, not a lady

oh and my home internet isn't working. That is I have internet connection, but my browser won't load a single web page. every URL comes up 'does not exist', though I can ping them. ghahhhhh Thankfully I'd printed out a website tutorial on spiral lacing, or I'd have been sunk
