Hum...! Interesting to see a modern retell of The Green Knight (just the way that particular tale seems to keep coming up in the public mind)
Speaking of which, the latest episode of Women At Warp talked about Artificial Intelligence; aside from covering Data, the EMH, exo-comps, V'Ger and the Borg, somehow the topic of Tuvix came up. XD; I guess in the context of "creating" sentient life and then extinguishing it.
Threshold is... certainly something else. I still need to double back and hear what 'Paris' and 'Kim' have to say about that one... ^^;
On wikipedia it says: "The story follows Saichi Sugimoto, a veteran of the early twentieth century Russo-Japanese War, and his quest to find a huge fortune of gold of the Ainu people, helped by a young Ainu girl named Asirpa." ...which I guess is more or less what I would have said.
There's a lot of info about the Ainu and their language and traditions in it (delivered largely via Asirpa) and eventually the story evolves into a race to retrieve the most tattoo-skinned convicts (some in person and some only via their skins) from Abashiri prison. There's a lot of innuendo in it and catching/killing/eating animals, but I don't think either of those things would be a turn off for you?

Huh, that's, uh, interesting in a different way.
*lol* Yeah, I look forward to hearing what 'Paris' in particular says about that one.
