I was looking into volunteering at a local soup kitchen, but haven't quite found a good fit yet. A lot of the sites mention this time of year volunteering spikes up so there's more than enough hands to go around. I did find a food packing event for hungry children, but it's scheduled for mid-March of next year; will keep that one in mind.

I thought this was a fun mini video essay on how to frame good shots (mostly live-action film, but perfectly applicable to animation and comics)

I may end up thinking of more and more creative two-shots as work on The Immortal Ambrosia progress. (so many one-on-one conversations, so much 'page economy' to consider) XD;

On Sunday night I watched Alien: Romulus with my brother (who is a self-proclaimed lifelong fan of the Alien franchise), and then today I watched Deadpool & Wolverine on my own.

I enjoyed both. They were both REALLY heavy on the Easter eggs and fanservice; I need to doodle a crossover of Deadpool standing in a hive chamber filled with painted alien ( Read more... )

Wish I'd thought to do something sooner(!) One of my mutuals drew her characters as human insisting that was the new direction of her comic. I could have drawn Pete and Sally as human (or at least swapped as cyborg and fully robot, respectively). Alas, I'd be smarter about focusing on the Comic Con Revolution deadline. >>;
