Tis the season (of giving)

I was looking into volunteering at a local soup kitchen, but haven't quite found a good fit yet. A lot of the sites mention this time of year volunteering spikes up so there's more than enough hands to go around. I did find a food packing event for hungry children, but it's scheduled for mid-March of next year; will keep that one in mind.
