It has been a week!
In true Suzume fashion, I had "call-in" jury duty (I think there's only been one time I had this and didn't have to go in). So, of course, I got called while my dad's car is in the shop. My last living grandparent- my maternal grandmother- died early yesterday morning. She was 96 and had been getting progressively weaker and older living in a nice home for seniors in San Clemente (she had previously lived in San Juan Capistrano, which isn't much further up the 5-N).
