I was just a little disappointed with his playing more music from FFVIII, FFX, FFXIV, FFXV, and FFXVI, at the expense of FFVI or FFIX (or even FFXII). But, wow, was that pianist Julien Gernay fantastic! (and two encores)

Earlier this week, 47ness and I went to a little event at Durango Cantina. There were only four other artists/writers/comic makers there, but plenty of musicians playing short sets. My last living grandparent- my maternal grandmother- died early yesterday morning. She was 96 and had been getting progressively weaker and older living in a nice home for seniors in San Clemente (she had previously lived in San Juan Capistrano, which isn't much further up the 5-N).
