I wasn't quite as engaged by Narita's "Baccano! 1933 The Slash - Cloudy to Rainy-" and "Baccano! 1933 The Slash -Bloody to Fair-," but he really brought it back with "Baccano! 1934 Alice in Jails: Prison." (These were volumes 6/7 & 8. So I expect 9- "Baccano! 1934 Alice in Jails: The Streets" will be pretty good too

All those links are interesting (oh, right, I had forgotten All Quiet On The Western Front was a Best Picture winner... nice to see it at a decent spot on the list- same with The Artist too. I think it's at about the 'right' spot given all the choices. ^~)

Thanks! I've only seen the made-for-TV version from '79 with Ernest Borgnine in it as Kat. ...But this made me (re-)interested in seeing this older version!

Oh, really? I've seen the '79 one once in school, but the '30 one at least three times (both in class and on my own). It holds up quite well, as the article states.
