I find writing sex scenes really hot. This is sort of embarrassing, but sometimes I actually type them with my eyes closed because I am so busily picturing the action.
I don't read much of it because as far as I can tell there isn't much of it, at least in English. But yeah, I went through a major VL phase a while back (maybe last summer?). I adore Christian and Olli. :-)

Also your rec of Rhiannonhero's Chrolli fic is right on the money. I think it's the best fic written for that fandom so far.
I think I will atart with 'The Swimmer' first, I've never read any of Cheever's fic and am looking forward to it...so thanks again :D
Oh man, ST is a slippery slope. There is so much good fic in this fandom -- it's taken over my life a bit. *facepalm*

My immediate answer is I find it hot while I'm writing it. But my brain is also doing the math not only on the physical circumstances but also on finding aspects of the situation that are not like EVERY OTHER porn scene I've written or someone else has. Some of this is intuition and some of it is cold hard canning of bad porn verbs and cheesy dialogue.
Thank you so much for the QAF rec. I'll comment there later but it was lovely and different from what I'd read so far. A little sad, too. I wanted to see the HP art too but Snape/Harry is just not for me :p Hope you're having a good weekend.
Glad you liked the QaF fic! It's almost impossible to find any gen in that fandom, so this was like a breath of fresh air. (I'm not even that big of a gen fan usually, but I am honestly sick to death of Brian/Justin, and that's pretty much all the QaF fandom is these days...)
Hee, Snarry isn't a favorite pairing of mine at all, but I've been sucked in by the sheer talent of the people who write and draw it.
