I'm actually really excited for the last few episodes (barring that whole spoiler about V and Piz getting "hot and heavy") because not only will Weevil actually have a story line, but we're going to get some OPJ Logan. That alone makes me overjoyed.

And I really, really hope there is a fourth season and RT writes the script accordingly. Because I'd love, for once, a slow build up between Logan and Veronica instead of just smashing them together in the last five seconds.

I know! I'm looking forward to Logan getting his mojo back!

I'd love, for once, a slow build up between Logan and Veronica instead of just smashing them together in the last five seconds.

Amen! I only wish I had faith that he knows how to WRITE that. But if he did, it could be awesome. It's what the first half of this season should have been.

The Piz parts of the spoilers aren't the ones that are bothering me.

It's the fact that Logan/Parker are still dating and talking about frequent flyer miles to see each other over the summer. Right?

Yes. The potential for a Logan-Parker-Veronica triangle is basically worst case scenario for me.

I also don't love that it's going to be some sort of external factor that makes Veronica break up (hopefully) with Piz. I would have preferred she actually just use her relationship with Piz to figure out that she prefers Logan, but I could take that bullshit if I had to.

But I can't take watching Logan in a relationship like that. I'm sorry, but months of dating, plus love scenes (which I assume we're going to get, based on the fact that we're reportedly getting them between V and Piz), plus plans to visit each other over the summer...that's not casual dating. That's a bona fide relationship. And it upsets my perception of Logan/Veronica to the point of no return.

I had a hunch you'd feel that way. I suspect I won't be able to convince you otherwise, so I won't try very hard…. but…. two things ( ... )

Just saying. From my perspective, this spoiler makes things better for our ship, not worse.

Yep. 100% with you. But you probably could have guessed that. :)

I must be the most hard-headed, cockeyed optimist in the world, because I still have high hopes and great interest in seeing where RT will take this season. I think we've been set up for something potentially big and very satisfying (see here for examples. I feel fine with Logan and Veronica trying out these other relationships, and feel that it only bodes better things for them long-term. Even if we don't get to see it onscreen (and I am fine with that too).

Now, it's also quite possible that I am delusional, and the only thing I'm being set up for here is disappointment.

I am surprised to read that RT thinks that the possibility of a 4th season is really there - I will have to go read over the spoilers in more detail. Is there some information recently out that makes this likely?

I must be the most hard-headed, cockeyed optimist in the world, because I still have high hopes and great interest in seeing where RT will take this season.I think I've gotten my optimism back, thankfully. This last round of spoilers really did me some good. I am still extremely skeptical that RT really understands character arc and underlying motivation issues. I tend to think he substitutes cleverness for that kind of deeper work, and I believe this is the main reason for the fan disaffection. People don't usually turn off their TV because of a short term pairing they don't like, but they do turn it off if the characters aren't as well delineated and emotionally engaging anymore ( ... )
