[Kenpachi is seated not too far from Yachiru, keeping half an eye on her while the rest of his attention on the fight. He isn't familiar with the concept of robots; that's something the 12th division would do. But he is familiar with fighting. These metal men that spark every time they hit each other, they could be an interesting fight. He speaks to no one in particular.]

Huh. Think I'll fight the winner.

[From the corner of one's eye, it wouldn't be impossible to mistake Kenpachi for a relative of Senji's. ...in fact, even from straight on, it wouldn't be impossible.]

[Of course, that's not the only reason she can't resist saying hello. There's also the matter of that certain pink-haired little warrior girl.]

[So, Priscilla leans over and tips her head.]

...do you think you'd win?

HE IS IRRESISTABLE sinister_bells August 4 2010, 09:33:00 UTC
Hm? [Kenpachi pulls himself away from the fight long enough to notice who's talking to him. It's the blonde girl...Yachiru called her "Scilly"...Priscilla, then. He muses for a moment.]

Well, they're harder to cut but I'd manage. Once their limbs are gone, they're useless. They have no reiatsu, no other way to attack. [Now that he's thinking about it, it sounds like the fight would be very one-sided and quick. No fun at all.]

Hm. Too bad. They could have been interesting.

HOW COULD SOMEONE RESIST THAT... HAIR IDK yetsleeping August 4 2010, 09:52:44 UTC
[Priscilla tips her head a little, watching the robots, playing the scenario out in her head as he describes it.]

Hmm. I think it might depend on what they're made of. And how strong you are. Not to mention where, of course. I wouldn't want to fight one in the streets of Dismas, but... in the arena, it would be all right.

I don't know if I'd really bother with the limbs, though. Um. Maybe just... cut it in half down the center.

Then again, I don't really know where the controls are! That might leave one half just kind of flapping its arms and legs.

[...]

Then again, that could be a little... funny.

Sasori and maybe a little bonus Deidara eternalscorpion August 3 2010, 11:22:07 UTC
[Sasori's in his seat, smoking and waiting for his idiot partner to return. He has a little bag of candy hidden in his cloak that he periodically fishes a piece out of to munch on.

He's almost pondering getting a leash for Deidara; the blond keeps wandering off whenever something interests him, and it's rather irritating.

At least the spectacle before him is quite interesting. Technological constructs this advanced simply don't exist where he comes from, and it's curious to compare their fighting abilities and styles to the puppetry techniques he's familiar with.]

[Not that he's sick of crowds or anything, but shit, it's nice to get the fuck away from excited people every so often.]

[This thought is preeminent in Mello's mind as he moves through the aisles, in search of an exit, a cigarette, and a refill on his chocolate collection because fuck knows he didn't bring enough today.]

[Not that there's ever enough.]

[He breaks off a piece from the half-bar he's got with him... and then curses under his breath when some jackass nudges him hard enough to jar the rest out of his hand.]

[He glances at that bloke with the candy as he pops the last piece of chocolate into his mouth.]

Don't suppose you've got chocolate in there. Christ, I'd settle for Lindt.

[Not that most of the people here knew what that was, anyway.]

[Well, this is not the blond Sasori expected to see addressing him.

But that voice is rather familiar, isn't it? So instead of snapping back, he puffs on his cigarette and digs through his bag of sweets.]

I suppose you're in luck, as I do have some.

[And he pulls a nice-sized bar out of the bag.]

As a sign of solidarity from a fellow sweet tooth, I'll share it with you.

Fan-fucking-tastic. And they say God isn't in Anatole.

[He smirks a bit as he accepts the bar... although there is an odd touch of sincerity even to that little barb. It goes along with the flash of the crucifix lying against his chest.]

[He pauses as he pulls the wrapper back.]

Not that you necessarily know shit about that. Sasori, hm?

Gesicht - open (because I have to) roboterpolizist August 4 2010, 14:15:02 UTC
It was, of course, not that he hadn't seen robots fight before. He'd watched the wrestling matches. He'd seen one of Brando's last matches in person. They were impressive, feats of of tactical maneuvering, leverage, knowledge, planning, reaction time. Perhaps some "luck," if you believed Brando. Gesicht had never seen Heracles fight in person, but he'd followed some of those matches too.

This wasn't like those.

Matches were often brutal, it was true. It was common for one fighter to loose a limb or two. But while the match may render the pankration suit the fighter used useless, and may do so in a way that humans could judge painful, it did not, it could not, result in death. The combatants AI remained intact, ready to be restored to their daily-use body. Those matches were a contest of skill, nothing more ( ... )
