on saturday we went to a fall festival at the local children's farm. there was a petting zoo (well, admittance to the stalls of the farm animals) and face painting and games and picking pumpkins from a REAL pumpkin patch and food and a bake sale and.. horse rides! on real horses! it looked like it was just for the kids, though, you "paid" 5 tickets ( Read more... )

a nest fell out of our tree with 2 babies in it. I re-assembled the whole thing into a box, nest, birds and all, and left it outside. hopefully their mother will find them, but if not... I'm not sure what to do with them. maybe animal welfare.
