I hate my own stupid high standards. I just got my law assignment result and it wasn't a first. It was three marks off so all is not lost but I know I'll be so disappointed with myself if I don't have a good base (eg a first grade!) for next year. I also think it would be fairly crap going to get a lower aggregate mark than last year (75), what ( Read more... )

i, also, know exactly what you mean about the uni marks. i'm so determined to get a distinction for my masters as i only missed out on a first for my ba by about 2%, which was somewhat infuriating! i'm sure you'll be fine though - 75% for your first year is a pretty impressive result :) - good luck!

Oh no - you must have been so annoyed, I know you worked really hard.

I'm starting to think last year's mark must have been a fluke, although quite a few of my marks were high 60s then too, I just pulled it up in other areas. This year I've only had too marks back so far and they have both been high 60s so I feel as if I've a lot of making up to do. I'm revising now for Monday's law exam so hopefully I'll do ok in that.

Good luck with your distinction!

You need to be as proud of yourself as your friends are!! You're doing a fantastic job with your course :D I know how frustrating it is to just miss out on something, but I managed to (just) get a 1st for my BA after getting 2:1s every year except the final year so you're well on track!

Good luck with the rest of your work for this year, you'll have definitely earned a summer of relaxation :)

Good advice! Thanks for sharing your experience, it does give me hope. I'll just have to make a special effort next year, although I have to admit the thought of doing my dissertation while on placement and writing a placement report is not appealing to my unorganised self ( ... )

I know that feeling, time organisation is as hard as the work itself and it's something I still haven't mastered ( ... )

Bless you for going to such effort - thanks! I'll definitely try Body and Society, it might give me a bit of a different angle. If you do look through your lit review, there's no rush, I've got a law exam on Monday afternoon so I've abandoned working on this until Monday evening so I can give revision my full attention. Well, my full attention shared with LJ it seems ;)
