Angry men? Great. Angry women? Don't like 'em.
This makes me angry. Ha! Talk about double standards. There's a lot to be angry about it the world, especially for women! It's not really news to me though. I wonder if this isn't why many women cry when they're angry, especially in public. Bridge collapse
I'm fine and safe at home, and have talked to mom, dad (both of whom are out of town in "greater" Minnesota), Kristen (she has confirmed Seth is OK), Grandma M., Norm, and Norm's mom Karen. Important step towards marriage equality for New Mexico couples!
Hooray! Massachusetts will marry same-sex couples from New Mexico, in addition to Rhode Island. (This one slipped by my radar.) Brief update
I haven't written much in a while, so will say a quick howdy to all and report that I'm doing very well. Work has been more relaxed the last few weeks, and Norm and I had very restful July 4th. Dubya commutes Libby's sentence
I guess criminals don't have to go to jail when they are committing crimes for the White House. I am not amused. -
FGM in Egypt
At the very least, an important step towards eradicating FGM in Egypt. Now let's just hope there is serious education and enforcement to accompany this legal prohibition. -
No justice for Pat Finucane or his family
I am very disappointed to read that there will be no prosecutions for the murder of Belfast attorney Pat Finucane, who was killed as a result of collusion between loyalist paramilitaries and the state security forces in Northern Ireland.
