I haven't written much in a while, so will say a quick howdy to all and report that I'm doing very well. Work has been more relaxed the last few weeks, and Norm and I had very restful July 4th. We spent the weekend before that at my extended-family cabin and had fun in the lake's boat parade (Norm was quite a skilled and spirited flag waver in his MN Atheists T-shirt), and then last weekend we spent two days up at Telemark Resort in NW Wisconsin with my family. We also enjoyed his youngest sisters' high school graduation open house not that long ago, as well as the chance to spend some time with his baby niece and young nephew that the event allowed.
This afternoon I am going to Chicago for most of five days for a trial lawyer's convention. Most of my department colleagues are going, so it should be a nice chance to spend some social time together, get some needed CLE hours in, and schmooze with other plaintiffs' attorneys. I'll also get to see my friend Lea and her hubby Ben, who live there.
The next several summer weekends are also full with family fun and summer outings, and before we know it,
heliodromos will be heading to camp, and a few weeks after that, we'll be heading to Ireland at the end of August. Wow!
