This is probably my favorite episode with Sidney, though all of them are excellent, and it's definitely one of my favorite M*A*S*H episodes overall. I love that he uses the 4077th as his "vacation" spot; like, this guy is so stuck in his head, he has to come to a M*A*S*H unit three miles from the front lines in order to unwind. Beautiful. And then he spends the whole thing writing to Sigmund Freud about the group, analyzing them as he does so. It's just quintessential Sidney and I love it to pieces.
Plus, it gave us the incredibly apt description of Hawkeye: "As you pointed out, Sigmund, there's a link between anger and wit. Anger turned inward is depression. Anger turned sideways is Hawkeye." Indeed, Sidney!
