I just cut the largest check I think I will ever write.  Boy and I plan to erase memory of writing check with booze.  Goodness save us...

Life fails to go simply.  Still waiting to figure out if we can get the house, trying to figure out whats going on at work.  Luckily, the boy just called me down for eggs, toast, and corned beef hash.  :)

Oh, and I just realized that its March, which means there is seriously only so much longer that winter can last!  (There should be a rule that ifs its been snowing since literally Thanksgiving, Spring either comes early, or all of New England gets to go on vacation in Cancun ( Read more... )

Its been an odd couple days.  The boy, after finishing his last few classes online one money allowed, graduated.   (Woot!)  We looked at a house we will now try to buy, in a better town than we thought we could afford.  And yesterday two of the six supervisors in my group left (one to move to Canada for a boy, one to change to weekend shifts for ( Read more... )

Hand surgery went well.  Full anesthesia was not as bad as I feared at all, although I was pleased to get home and sleep off the odd indescribable leftover feeling.  Its a gorgeous day out, wish I could join Dave on his bikeride, but as I have a huge heavy non-removable hthing on my hand, typing one-handedly is my activity threshold.  Now let's see ( Read more... )

Surgery to fix the nerve in my hand early tomorrow morning.  Not sure if I'm nervous or not.  Here's to a four day weekend, anyways! 

September was pretty good.  Almost met my running goal (three times a week), but felt that I made up for the few runs I missed with karate, frisbee, and the two weekend project of ripping up a friend's floor and laying a new one.  Miter saws are sexy!  And I feel somehow competent, which is nice...  We are trying to put things in motion for ( Read more... )
